On Saturday December 11th, 2010 The Passaic County Department of Health hosted a Recognition and Recruitment Brunch for the Passaic County Medical Reserve Corps (PCMRC) at the Brownstone in Paterson, NJ. The mission of the PCMRC is to develop a prepared, trained workforce of volunteers to serve the citizens of New Jersey in the event of a public health emergency. The keynote speaker of the event was Dr. James Pruden, Director of Emergency Preparedness at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. He gave an inspiring presentation on volunteerism. The brunch was also a way for volunteers to network and for their guests to join.
