Joseph Pezzillo
started as the Biologist for Passaic County Mosquito
Control in August, 2003. In January of that year, Joe
received a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science
from William Paterson University. Prior to his
employment with Passaic County, Joe worked as an intern
with the New Jersey Department of Environmental
Protection in the Office of Pollution Prevention and
Permit Coordination. He is currently licensed as a
commercial pesticide applicator in the State of New
Jersey in the field of mosquito control. Joe is
responsible for conducting laboratory and field work,
including trapping, identification, sample preparation,
and viral surveillance. He is also noted for his
technical expertise with specific software and
electronic equipment used regularly in mosquito control
operations and is now an Assistant Supervisor with the
Division. Joe also recently completed the NJ State
Police Level 3 - Hazardous Materials Technician
course.
