Acting Superintendent Eric Green is a graduate of Montclair State University. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and a Master's in Environmental Management. Eric started with the Passaic County Department of Health as an Environmental Health Specialist in May, 2000. He was certified as a hazardous materials technician in 2001 when he became part of the Health Department's emergency response unit. In 2002 he received additional training from the U.S. Dept. of Justice as a C.O.B.R.A. WMD Haz Mat technician. Eric has been Acting Superintendent of Mosquito Control since July, 2003. He is licensed in New Jersey as a commercial pesticide applicator in both mosquito control and aerial application.

 

Joseph Pezzillo has been the Biologist with Passaic County Mosquito Control since August, 2003. In January of that year, Joe received a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from William Paterson University. Prior to his employment with Passaic County, Joe worked as an intern with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in the Office of Pollution Prevention and Permit Coordination. He is currently licensed as a commercial pesticide applicator in the State of New Jersey in the field of mosquito control. Joe is responsible for conducting laboratory work, including identification, sample preparation, and viral surveillance. He is also noted for his technical expertise with specific software and electronic equipment used regularly in mosquito control operations.

 

Carl Isaacs has been with Mosquito Control since 1988. He became an Assistant Supervisor in 1993 and was promoted to the position of Mosquito Control Supervisor in 2003. Originally from Guyana, located on the Northeastern shoulder of South America, Carl gained extensive knowledge and experience from 1969 to 1979 controlling mosquito species notorious for carrying Yellow Fever and Malaria. From 1979 to 1983 he served as an Entomology Technician for the Guyanan Ministry of Health. Carl's responsibilities with Mosquito Control include the supervision of pesticide operations, daily staff assignments, field surveillance, and public liaison. He is a licensed commercial pesticide applicator in mosquito control.

 

Scott Johnson began working for Mosquito Control in October, 2002. The following year he was promoted to Inspector and soon after that Scott was chosen for the position of Water Management Supervisor. Simply put, the goal of water management is the reduction of potential reproductive mosquito habitat and it plays an important role in our integrated pest management strategy. Scott is licensed in landscape irrigation in the State of New Jersey and possesses no fewer than six certifications as a commercial pesticide applicator, including mosquito control. He is currently studying for his seventh CPA certification in the field of aerial application. Scott has many years experience in both pesticide application and landscape irrigation.
