Passaic County Department of Health (PCDH) Director, Michael Guarino, today unveiled the new department website – www.pcdh.org -- offering faster and easier access to public health related news and services.

“Users will appreciate the easy-to-navigate format, and the ability to get to most information in three clicks or less,” said Guarino.  This first phase of the website is intended to be a real-time information resource for the community and our local, state and national partners.  The next phase of PCDH website development will be to offer similarly formatted information on all local health departments in Passaic County that wish to participate.  The purpose of Phase II would be to offer a minimum of important contact information for each local office, in an easy to use, common look-and-feel format.

Information on www.pcdh.org is organized into some of the following main categories:

§         About Us – General overview of the Passaic County Department of Health.

§         Departments – In depth information on the departments and services of the PCDH, including the following departments: Air Monitoring, Epidemiology, GIS, HAZMAT, Health Education, Industrial Hygiene, LINCS, Noise Pollution, Right-To-Know, Safe Drinking Water, Solid Waste.

§         News – The latest Health Alerts and News Releases.

§         Event Calendar – Health-related events available to the community.

§         Health Links – Quick links to local, state, federal and other pertinent websites.

The new website represents the latest efforts of the Passaic County Department of Health to ensure timely and efficient broadcasting of public health news, services, and contact information.
